This gorgeous cider set was made by the Owen China Co. of Minerva, Ohio. The company was founded by Edward J. Owen in 1902 and remained open until it closed in 1932. At the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, Owen won a gold medal for the ‘Best Domestic Semi-Porcelain.’ The gold medal stamp is present on the pitcher bottom (see photo.) There is some wear to the paint, but no cracks or chips. Handles are embossed with raised porcelain and the paint in the fruit is beautiful. Pitcher 5-½ inches tall; 7 inches across
Four cups 4-½ inches tall x 2-¾ inches across. I will include a fifth cup at no cost which has a large chip.
